Being an ex-smoker for more than 15 years now, it’s a total distraction for me to work in a smoke-filled place. I mean we’re making our living like anybody else. A banker wouldn’t have to sit in a smoke-filled room for all of their working hours and we work just as much as they do. Why should we have to breathe that?

What others are saying:

Karen D., Greater Monroe Area
I don't smoke, but I used to tell people I smoked 6 packs in 2 days. When I sang Karaoke on the weekend, I would come home smelling like a tabacco factory. UGH!
Shirley B., Alexandria, LA
It's a joy not being exposed to second hand smoke at restaurants and other public places!
Beverly H., Greater Shreveport Area
It stinks and I hate people blowing it around me. It gets in your hair, clothes, and it makes you smell awful. It makes me cough. I can't stand it.!!!!!!
M Z., Greater New Orleans Area
Smoking ban would cause financial hardship on establishments. Should be left to business owner. You DO have choices where to go and work.
Sadie L., Houma, LA
I support smoke-free environments!
